SATURDAY MORNING PRAYER AND 6:00 AM WORSHIP ON PAUSE THROUGH THE SUMMER.

NOTE:

Two opportunities to pray:

Leaders only: Please be available at the end of services to pray for those who come forward. If you are not actively serving during the service you are attending, make it a priority to head to the front when the invitation is given. Your presence matters!

North Attleboro Leaders and members: If you or any member of your group who currently serves is available, there is an opportunity to meet for prayer in the conference room off the break room during the second and third services.  Please see Doug and Joanie White or Felix Shyllon if you would like to be a part of that ministry.

Please note: if you have a member who is not currently serving and would like to be part of the prayer during the service team, please have them take the appropriate steps to become a serve team member.

NORTH ATTLEBORO

Prayer at the Altar – AFTER SERVICES

If possible, please make an effort to be at the altar after this service to pray for others.

Your presence makes a difference—thank you for serving!

**Please read all scripture in the ESV, unless otherwise noted.**

**The Leader prompts help you, as the leader, move the conversation along.**

Key Verse: Revelation 1

Ice Breaker Question:

You can instantly have an unlimited supply of one completely random item for the rest of your life. What do you choose? (Not money)

Opening Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing us together today. Open our hearts and minds to receive Your Word. Help us approach You with humility, listen for Your voice, and respond in obedience. As we study Your revelation of Jesus, give us a greater understanding of who He is and who You have called us to be. Draw us closer to You and strengthen our faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Revelation 1:1

The Book of Revelation is about the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

The BIBLE is about JESUS.

Revelation is an Apocalypse, an unveiling.

When you read, hear, and do the Word, you are blessed.

Revelation 1:5–6

Jesus is the faithful Witness and the Firstborn from the dead. He is the first to be raised to everlasting life, paving the way for all who believe in Him. Because eternal life is found in Him, we, too, have the promise of eternal life through Him.

Three Things to Know about Jesus:

1. Jesus LOVES us.

He has not come to condemn you but to save you.  When you believe in Him, you are not condemned.

2. Jesus FREES us from SIN. (POWER and PENALTY, not

presence)

Though He frees us from sin, Christians still have a relationship with sin.  We will continue to wrestle with it.

3. Jesus makes us a KINGDOM.

Daniel 2:44 ESV

This is our heritage in Christ Jesus.

Revelation 1:9 ESV

John was a fisherman and a working man, and he had a bit of a temper.

He had weaknesses, but Jesus still used him.

Q. Which of these truths about Jesus do you need to embrace more deeply right now—that He loves you, frees you from sin, or has given you a place and purpose in His Kingdom? Why?

Leader Prompt:

Help the group see that Jesus loves us, frees us from sin, and gives us a place in His Kingdom. Like John, God uses imperfect people who are willing to follow Him.

1. God REVEALS His Word to those who REMAIN His

SERVANTS.

John was a servant. Sixty-five years of walking with Christ, and he remained a servant.

We, as Christians, need to be concerned about what we are doing for others.  We are to be servants.

Mark 10:44–45 ESV

Q. What are some attitudes or obstacles that can keep Christians from maintaining a servant’s heart, and how can we guard against them?

Leader Prompt:

Help the group identify common barriers to servanthood, such as pride, busyness, comfort, entitlement, and a desire for recognition. True spiritual maturity chooses service even when it goes unnoticed.

Practical Application:

Ask God to reveal one attitude that may be hindering your servant’s heart. This week, intentionally serve in a way that stretches you and brings no personal recognition.

2. God REVEALS His Word to those who regularly RESPOND to His VOICE.

Revelation 1:10-12 ESV

The trumpet is an analogy because a trumpet is impossible to ignore. It announces that something important is happening. In the same way, God’s presence was coming to John. While he was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, he heard God’s voice clearly and received this revelation.

When we hear the Lord’s voice, we must respond.

James 4:8 ESV

We are as close to God as we choose to be.

Q. What is one distraction that makes it difficult for you to hear God’s voice, and what practical habit helps—or could help—you stay connected to Him throughout the week?

Leader Prompt:

Encourage the group to discuss how they listen for God’s voice through Scripture, prayer, and obedience, and how responding to Him strengthens their relationship with Him.

3. God REVEALS His Word to those who REMAIN HUMBLE

before Him.

Revelation 1:17-18 ESV

When we keep ourselves humble before God, he speaks to us. He reveals Himself to us.

Isaiah 66:2 ESV

1 Peter 5:6 ESV

Q. Humility is not thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself rightly before God. How does a proper view of God’s greatness change the way you view your own plans, priorities, and struggles?

Leader Prompt:

Encourage the group to discuss how seeing God’s greatness helps us view our plans, problems, and priorities differently.

Practical Application:

Spend time this week specifically praising God for who He is before bringing Him your requests. Ask Him to help you see one situation in your life from His perspective rather than your own, and surrender that area to His control.

Sermon in a sentence:

God reveals His Word to SERVANTS who RESPOND and

HUMBLE themselves before Jesus.

Takeaways:

What are some key takeaways you received from this message?

Closing Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for revealing Yourself to us through Your Word. Thank You for loving us, freeing us from sin, and making us part of Your kingdom. Help us remain faithful servants, attentive listeners, and humble followers. Give us ears to hear Your voice, hearts that are quick to obey, and lives that reflect Your glory. As we leave today, help us walk closely with You and trust You more fully in every area of our lives. In Your powerful name we pray, Amen.
