27 Mar eFam Group Leader Ethics Contract

PURPOSE:   eFam Group Leaders are responsible for providing their group with vision, direction, and support.  Leaders are successful when they are personally growing in their intimacy with God, community with insiders, influence with outsiders, and when they are leading their groups in such a way as to encourage the group members growth in their relationships well.  In short, we are building relationships while meeting each other’s needs and doing life together.  We urge you to carefully consider each item below as to ensure a healthy thriving eFam Small-Group.

I prayerfully considered and agree to the following:

I have a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ (2+ years) and have been baptized.

I fully recognize that the Bible is the absolute authority in my life.

I understand that as a Christian, I represent Christ in ALL that I do.

I understand that by taking on a leadership role, I am now “representing” Waters Church in all I do.

I have been regularly attending online service and apprenticing in a Waters Small Group .

I attend at least one weekend service, every week at Waters Church online.

I serve in some capacity to be the ‘Church’ to those in my community outside of Small Group.

I regularly tithe to Waters Church.

I have the time, emotional capacity, and moral discernment to lead an eFam Small Group.

I understand my purpose is to lead my eFam Small Group by facilitating the meeting and promoting  participation among group members.

I am committed to leading my eFam Small Group once per week in my home or public venue except on First  Wednesday weeks.

I will maintain an up-to-date Planning Center Group profile and monitor it regularly for new members  and keep my members to a maximum of 12.

I understand that I am to identify and develop qualified Apprentices.

I promise to conduct myself in a Christ-like manner in all my interactions including those   within the Church, the public, and on social media.

I promise to uphold Christian values regarding sexual morality and will stand firm on what   the Bible says about it.

I am committed to engaging in leadership development opportunities provided by Waters Church such as attending SGL Meetings, First Wednesday Services, conferences, and  classes either online or on location.

I understand that if I have any questions or concerns with any matter regarding my eFam Small Group or its  members, I will promptly notify and seek guidance from Leadership.

I understand that if Leadership sees signs of some unhealthiness in me, I agree to meet with them with a spirit of humility and be willing to listen to their counsel as well as to commit to taking steps  to restore my spiritual health.

I will not serve/drink alcohol during my Small Group Meeting or participate in recreational use of  marijuana and other mind altering substances.

As an eFam Group Leader, I will not conduct book studies.
