PLEASE CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATIONS AND OR YOUR PLANNING CENTER PROFILES FOR NEW MEMBER REQUESTS.
NOTE:
Two opportunities to pray:
Leaders only: Please be available at the end of service to pray for those who come forward. If you are not actively serving during the service you are attending, make it a priority to head to the front when the invitation is given. Your presence matters!
North Attleboro Leaders and members: If you are available, or any member of your group who currently serves is available, there is an opportunity to meet for prayer in the conference room off of the break room area during the second and third services. Please see Doug and Joanie White or Felix Shyllon if you would like to be a part of that ministry.
Please Note: if you have a member who is not serving currently and would like to be a part of the prayer during the service team, please have them take the appropriate steps to become a serve team member.

**Please read all scripture in the ESV, unless otherwise noted.**
Opening Prayer:
Lord Jesus, fix our eyes on Your coming. Purify our hearts, steady our hope, and make us faithful witnesses until You return. Amen.
Key Verse
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
1. The Greatest Past Event & Certain Future Return
Jesus’ first coming, death, and resurrection secured salvation and defeated the devil; the same Jesus who ascended will return.
Romans 10:13; Acts 4:12; Revelation 1:17–18
Q. If we truly believe the same Jesus who conquered death is coming again, how should that change the way we live and share our faith right now?
Leader Prompt: Remind the group that the same Jesus who bore our sin and showed us mercy is the One coming again—not a distant or different Jesus, but the same loving Savior who knows us by name. Help members picture His return not with fear, but with confidence and hope.
Practical Application: This week, share your salvation story with one person and name Jesus explicitly (not just “God” or “faith”).
2) No Date-Setting—Live Ready
No one knows the day or hour; avoid false predictions and stay discerning.
Matthew 24:36
Q. What does it look like to live “ready” every day—if we truly believe Jesus could return at any moment—but still plan and work faithfully in the meantime?
Practical Application: Encourage your group to pick one small, consistent action that reflects spiritual readiness—a 5-minute prayer walk, turning off anxious news before bed, or sharing a word of hope with someone each day.
3. Two Phases Highlighted: For His Church, Then With His Church
Christ will come for His Church and later with His church.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:51–52
Q. How does the hope of being “caught up” shape your view of suffering and service now?
Leader Prompt:
Remind the group that Jesus’ return isn’t meant to make us want to escape the world, but to help us stand firm in faith. The same Savior who will come for us is the One who gives us strength right now. Invite members to share how the hope of being with Him forever gives their present struggles and service new purpose and endurance.
Practical Application:
When you face a challenge or moment of discouragement this week, pause and whisper, “Jesus is coming for me.” Let that truth fuel your perseverance and renew your joy as you serve Him faithfully each day.
4. Judgment Seat of Christ—Rewards, Not Condemnation
Believers will give an account and be rewarded; there is no condemnation in Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:10; Romans 8:1; 2 Timothy 4:7–8
Q. If you knew you would stand before Jesus tonight to talk about your day, how would that change the way you live today?
Practical Application: At the end of each day this week, take five minutes to ask, “Did I live today in a way that honors Jesus?” Invite the Holy Spirit to show you one area to grow in faithfulness.
5. Two Prophetic Streams: Rising Darkness & Rising Light
Dark stream (signs): hatred for Jesus’ name, perilous times, days like Noah and Sodom, apostasy, itching ears.
Luke 21:17; 2 Timothy 3:1–5; Luke 17:28–30; 2 Timothy 4:3–4
Light stream (signs): outpouring of the Spirit, gospel to all nations, recovery of Bible truth, growing unity in Christ, final harvest.
Matthew 24:14; John 17:20–23
Q. Even as the world grows darker, where do you see God’s light breaking through—and how can we join in what He’s doing?
Leader Prompt:
Encourage your group to share real examples of God’s light at work—salvations, unity, renewed hunger for truth, or moments of repentance and worship. Acknowledge that darkness is real, but highlight that it’s never stronger than God’s presence. Remind them that the Spirit is moving in power and that we’re invited to participate, not retreat.
6. Occupy Till He Comes—Hope That Purifies
Stay faithful in ordinary life and ministry; live expectantly and holy.
Scripture: Luke 19:13; 1 John 3:2–3; Titus 2:11–13
Q. How does the hope of Christ’s return motivate you to pursue holiness and purpose right now?
Key Takeaways:
What are 3 takeways you received from this message?
Closing Prayer:
Father, thank You for the blessed hope of Jesus’ appearing. Strengthen us to occupy faithfully, witness boldly, and walk in holiness by Your Spirit until the trumpet sounds. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
