Worship Mondays: 6:00 a.m. worship – location rotation

NOTE:

Two opportunities to pray:

Leaders only: Please be available at the end of services to pray for those who come forward. If you are not actively serving during the service you are attending, make it a priority to head to the front when the invitation is given. Your presence matters!

North Attleboro Leaders and members: If you are available, or any member of your group who currently serves is available, there is an opportunity to meet for prayer in the conference room off of the break room area during the second and third services.  Please see Doug and Joanie White or Felix Shyllon if you would like to be a part of that ministry.

Please note: if you have a member who is not currently serving and would like to be part of the prayer during the service team, please have them take the appropriate steps to become a serve team member.

NORTH ATTLEBORO

Prayer at the Altar – AFTER SERVICES

If possible, please make an effort to be at the altar after this service to pray for others.

Your presence makes a difference—thank you for serving!

**Please read all scripture in the ESV, unless otherwise noted.**

KEY VERSE: Colossians 4

Ice breaker:

Q. If you were forced to join a reality TV team show, which one would you choose—and who from this group would you want on your team?

Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for creating us in Your image and for designing us to live in community with You and with one another. Open our hearts as we gather today. Help us to see the value of relationships, to lean into Your design for unity, and to grow together in love and truth. Prepare us to hear what You want to teach us and shape us more into the likeness of Christ.

Colossians 4: 7-18

1. You were made for community.
Genesis 1:26 ESV; John 13:34-35 ESV
2 Timothy 4:10 ESV
Why Do We Need Community?
First Reason: We need community to IMAGE God rightly.
Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV; Proverbs 27:17 ESV
Why Do We Need Community?
Second Reason: We need a community to GROW spiritually.
Colossians 1:28 ESV
Why Do We Need Community?
Third Reason: We need community to RESIST our Enemy.
1 Peter 5:8 NLT; Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 ESV
Q. What kind of encouragement or accountability helps you stay alert and spiritually grounded?
2. The Gospel UNITES what sin DIVIDES.
Colossians 3:11 ESV; Galatians 3:28 NLT; Revelation 7:9 ESV
Q. How does the Gospel challenge the natural divisions we see in culture, personality, or background?
Practical Application:
Identify one intentional step you can take to move toward someone in the body of Christ who is different from you.
3. UNITY PREACHES before we do.
Colossians 4:5-6 ESV; John 17:20-21 ESV ; Acts 2:42–47 ESV
Q. In what ways does visible unity among believers give credibility to the message of the Gospel?
Practical Application:
Choose to practice intentional presence this week by being fully engaged, gracious, and encouraging in your church or group relationships.
2 Practical Steps for Everyone:
1. TAKE a step TOWARD community.
2. STOP HIDING in community
Sermon in A Sentence:
Because God Himself exists in COMMUNITY, Christians need one another to GROW spiritually, RESIST the Enemy, REFLECT Christ accurately, and give CREDIBILITY to the Gospel.

Closing Prayer

Lord, thank You for the gift of community and for the way You use one another to strengthen our faith. Help us take intentional steps toward community and resist the urge to hide or withdraw. May our unity reflect Christ, encourage one another, and give credibility to the Gospel as we go into the week ahead. Give us grace to live this out together. Amen.
