Not all wisdom is the same. There is worldly wisdom which aims to serve and please oneself and there is Godly wisdom which comes from the fear of the Lord and honors God.

Q. When a non-believer asks your advice, how do you approach answering them?
THEME TRUTH:
WE NEED GOD’S WISDOM TO DISCERN AND CHOOSE THE TRUTH OVER THE COUNTERFEIT
How we know the markings of Truth, so we are not fooled by the counterfeit:
- Wisdom to know: The Difference is in the Source
Galatians 1:6-7 (ESV)
The true Gospel is the result of God’s gift of grace. The counterfeit gospel is a result of man adding works to what God has already accomplished. By adding works to the grace of God we are abandoning God’s gift of grace.
Q. When have you added works to God’s grace (i.e., doing something to earn God’s favor)?
2 John 9-11 (ESV)
Q. How have you handled false teachers (example: JW at your door, preacher, etc.) you may have encountered?
2. Wisdom to know: God Creates, Satan Counterfeits
Galatians 1:8-9 (ESV)
Satan’s number one strategy has been twisting God’s truth. We need wisdom from above to tell the difference.
Q. What is a specific example of the world twisting the truth of God (what is something you have believed to be true that was a counterfeit of the truth)?

Q.What kind of bitter envy or selfish ambition do you tend to hold in your heart?
3. Wisdom to know: God’s Approval is the only thing that Matters

We need wisdom to know our motives.
