31 Dec “Looking to God for Miracles in 2024” – All Locations
Announcements:
NEW OPPORTUNITY – PLEASE SHARE WITH YOUR GROUP MEMBERS:
Waters Kids Ministry Opportunity
We’re excited to present a wonderful opportunity for your members who are not yet part of a serve team or are interested in joining an additional team, specifically in our Waters Kids ministry!
On Christmas Eve, we witnessed a record attendance of children across all Waters Kids locations. This growth in our children’s ministry is only the beginning, and we anticipate even more in 2024!
To support this expansion, we’re actively building our Waters Kids Team. If you have a heart for children, a creative spirit, and a desire to share the word of God with our youth, we would be thrilled to have you join our team!
We have openings for roles with nursery-age children through elementary school. Our fast-growing Ignite ministry, catering to elementary-age children, is a great opportunity, particularly for married couples, as this age group is highly impressionable and can greatly benefit from their guidance.
If caring for or teaching children isn’t your primary interest, don’t worry! We also need help with kids’ check-in, technical support (like sound, lighting, and ProPresenter operation), and worship.
Interested individuals can join by clicking the link below and navigating to the Waters Kids section to select “Join The Team!”
If you are still unsure, on January 31 we are offering a training! All are invited to attend and check out this ministry!
For any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at info@waterschurch.org.

Key Verse: Matthew 1
Ice Breaker:
Q. If you were creating a time capsule and could only include one song that represents your life, which song would you choose and why?”
Matthew 1:23
Emmanuel means God with us.
God is the God of the Supernatural. He is the miraculous, miracle-working God.
There are three groups of people in the Church today: Those who have no discernment – believing anything and everything, those who don’t believe miracles are for today, and those who believe God still performs miracles.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say that the days of miracles are over. Throughout the Old Testament, He performed miracle after miracle, delivering His people to show His glory.
Throughout the New Testament, Jesus performed miracle after miracle. Healing the sick, casting out demons, turning water into wine, and many other miracles.
He redeemed us with His precious blood and just as the people of Israel were called, we were also called to reveal His glory.
Q. How does knowing that the days of miracles are not over influence your expectations and understanding of God’s work in your life today?
God with us is the greatest miracle of all.
John 1:14
He was willing to step down from Heaven because of His love for each one of us. Desiring to redeem us. He wanted to rescue us from our sins.
It is impossible to keep the law but through the grace of Jesus Christ, we can be redeemed by His precious blood.
John 3:16
Our salvation is supernatural and because our salvation is supernatural, we also are supernatural.
John 3:3
We cannot afford to take salvation lightly because it is a miracle when someone responds to the Gospel! It is the greatest miracle.
Luke 15:10
We need to stand and rejoice when people respond to the Gospel!
2 Corinthians 5:17
Q. Knowing that God stepped down from Heaven and became one of us, how does this impact you in your journey through faith and life?
How we can look to God for miracles in 2024:
- Learn to think supernaturally.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5; Proverbs 23:7;Philippians 4:8
Q. According to 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, our spiritual weapons have divine power to demolish strongholds, and we are called to take every thought captive to obey Christ. How can we practically apply this in our daily lives to cultivate a supernatural mindset?
2. Learn to plan supernaturally.
Many times we end up in a mess because we have not included God in our plans.
3. Learn to pray supernaturally.
God is faithful and our prayers are answered in His time.
We cannot let things pull us down, we must trust God because He will never fail us.
Ephesians 3:20-21; James 5:16
He has never let us down.
Daniel 3:18
Q. Discuss the importance of trust in God when prayers seem unanswered or when His timing differs from ours. How can we maintain our faith and continue to trust in God’s plan during challenging times?
4. Learn to give supernaturally.
Be generous. When we die, it is all gone.
Luke 6:38
God blesses us so we can bless others.
God gave His Son for us while we were still in our sin.
God is a big giver! Let’s trust him this coming year.
Challenge: Cultivate a Supernatural Mindset: For one week, consciously evaluate your thoughts throughout the day. Whenever you face a challenging situation, a decision, or even a moment of doubt, pause and ask yourself: “Am I thinking supernaturally here?” Use 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 as a guide to align your thoughts with God’s promises and power.
