We are in a season of noise; cash registers, kids crying, political conversations at the dinner table. We need to break from all the noise but after a while, the silence becomes very disconcerting.
There are also noises were hear in our head like insecurity, worry and guilt.
Q. What are some noises in your mind that you want to silence?
Romans 8:31 “WHAT SHALL WE SAY TO THESE THINGS?
Paul asks this question because there in nothing we can say after what God has done for us. God sent His Son. Jesus died to forgive us and give us access to the throne of grace. He sent us the Holy Spirit to empower Christians to do the work God wants us to do. If we are surrounded by God, then we have peace no matter the noise.
1. WE ARE ADOPTED INTO GOD’S FAMILY (Romans 8:15)
2. WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD (Romans 8:16)
3. THE GLORY GOD GIVES US WILL FAR OUTWEIGH THE TROUBLES OF TODAY (Romans 8:18)
Q. What are some struggles you have had where you could see the glory of God so that they did not seem so bad?
4. THE HOLY SPIRIT PRAYS FOR US IN OUR WEAKNESS (Romans 8:26)
5. IN ALL THINGS GOD IS WORKING FOR OUR GOOD! (Romans 8:28)
Q.When and how have you witnessed God using what the enemy has meant for evil in your life and turned it into to good for His purposes?
1. IN CHRIST, GOD SILENCES THE NOISE OF ACCUSATION
Charge means to put on trial for all the things we have done wrong. The Devil accuses us. We think things like ‘I didn’t do it right’, or ‘I should have done more’ etc. We feel condemned.
Q. What are some accusations the devil throws at you and how do you combat them? Are there specific scripture verses that come to mind when hearing these accusations to help your or do you allow the enemy to defeat you?
We have an advocate, Jesus, His blood covers our sins and our Father says ‘Case closed’!

Jesus is the best thing that God could give us.
