We all have turbulent wind at one time or another that goes on in our lives. Here are the top ten biggest fears of 2018:
Fear of change
Politics
Being blamed
Failure
Not being accepted
Pain
Not being loved
Ice-breaker questions:
Q. What are some ‘turbulent winds’ in your life right now? Can you relate to any of the top these top ten fears?
In this message we will learn:
How we can get into rest in the covenant of a Living God.
How we can be a part of his Kingdom.
How to flourish in God’s presence.
Who are the heirs? We are the heirs of the promise!
THE FATHER TEACHES US 4 WAYS TO LIVE ABOVE & BEYOND:
TITHING = OBEDIENCE (MALACHI 3:10-12)
Tithing is being obedient, it is not by works but obedience; tithing is the divine connector that connects us to God.
FIRST FRUITS = GENEROSITY (PROVERBS 3:9-10; ROMANS 11:16)
ALMS GIVING = COMPASSION (PROVERBS 19:17; MATTHEW 6:1-4)
SEED = FAITH REWARD (3 JOHN 2)
1. TITHING CONSISTENTLY, CREATES THE OBEDIENCE STANDARD
AND POSITIONS ME TO A COVENANT GOD (THE SOURCE, MY SOURCE).
‘You bring’ means us. We are to provide the food for the ministry. It takes money to run the House (Church). We should tithe no matter what because God loves us. We want to obey God because he is good to us.
Obedience is a standard that God created. Example of a standard is the speed limit on I-95 in Massachusetts. The standard is 65 mph. We, as drivers, know this because the standard was created by the state of Massachusetts and set to this speed limit. God set the standard of the tithe (10%). We, as Christians, know this because God created this standard.
Covenant: to cut (Nathan went on to explain what this means by telling us how the Aborigines make a covenant in the Eastern world – if you break the covenant there is a penalty involved, even death).
We should not break covenant or take it lightly!
God made a covenant with us. Jesus was cut and we are covered by His blood. The flow is a blessing. Our sins are forgiven. Tithing (by being obedient) creates a flow of blessing.
Q. Why is it so difficult at times to be obedient to God’s commands, especially when it comes to money?
2. TITHING CONSISTENTLY, CREATES THE FLOW OF BLESSING TO
THE SOURCE, MY SOURCE.
If we do obey and step out in faith then the blessings flow! Our relationship with God can never survive if He says something and we don’t believe what He says. He will rebuke the devourer. He will give us he ‘rains’.
Q. What blessings have flowed from your life as a result of tithing?
3.TITHING CONSISTENTLY, CREATES THE CONNECTION
TO THE SOURCE, MY SOURCE.
The Babylonian system works form the outside in. The product is here and we have to bring in the funds to pay for that. The Christian life works from the inside out. God’s Kingdom side of it is that Jesus blood was shed 2000 years ago so that we could be free. So that as we need healing, we already have it! He already paid for it. We need prosperity, He already paid for it. It comes from the inside out. We have to believe Him that He is able to keep His Word. He is able and just to forgive us.
To obey is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22 ESV).
Q. Do you trust God in only certain areas and not others? If so, why?
We all have battles (Worries and Cares) like stress, guilt, condemnation, relationships, doubts, unbelief, lack and debt – we pile these up (Nathan put them in buckets). We don’t have to live with all this worry, we don’t have to have sleepless nights. The buckets are full and heavy with this stuff. But, when he emptied the buckets into Abundance and Overflow, Grace made them light. God’s grace is amazing and free! When we are obedient and we are connected to the Source, we don’t have to live paycheck to paycheck.
4. HOW CAN I CONNECT TO THE SOURCE?
The Word created expectancy! God’s Word is God speaking to me.
Seeker: You connect to the Source.
New Believer: You trust/receive grace from the Source.
Long-Time Believer: You renew daily, in action, to the Source.
IN SUM: “EXPECT” TO RECEIVE “DAILY” THE CONSTANT FLOW AND STRONG CONNECTION TO YOUR “TITHER’S RIGHTS”.
HOW? BY OBEYING THE SOURCE, KEEPING YOUR EYES ON THE SOURCE, AND LISTENING TO THE SOURCE, MY SOURCE FOR EVERYTHING,
PRAYER FOR EACH OTHER, THE LOST, WOONSOCKET AND OTHER UPCOMING CAMPUSES, THE ABOVE & BEYOND CAMPAIGN, THE CHURCH, THE NATION AND LEADERS.
