SATURDAY MORNING PRAYER AND 6:00 AM WORSHIP ON PAUSE THROUGH THE SUMMER.
NOTE:
Two opportunities to pray:
Leaders only: Please be available at the end of services to pray for those who come forward. If you are not actively serving during the service you are attending, make it a priority to head to the front when the invitation is given. Your presence matters!
North Attleboro Leaders and members: If you or any member of your group who currently serves is available, there is an opportunity to meet for prayer in the conference room off the break room during the second and third services. Please see Doug and Joanie White or Felix Shyllon if you would like to be a part of that ministry.
Please note: if you have a member who is not currently serving and would like to be part of the prayer during the service team, please have them take the appropriate steps to become a serve team member.
NORTH ATTLEBORO

Key Verse: Exodus 33
Where’s Your Tent?
Ice Breaker:
Q. Imagine you are spending one night alone in a tent. Besides your phone, Bible, and/or Journal, what three items would you bring, and why?
Opening Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing us together. Quiet our hearts and remove every distraction as we seek You. Help us desire Your presence, listen to Your voice, and be open to the change, direction, purpose, and peace You want to give us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Exodus 33:7-11 NKJV
In a very short period of time, while Moses was away on the mountain, the Israelites began to grumble and turn away from God. Their hearts wandered, and their behavior quickly became sinful.
Moses understood the seriousness of what was happening. He knew that something had to be done, not only for himself, but for the people he was called to lead.
There are times in our own lives when we can find ourselves feeling distant or separated from God, much like the Israelites did. But Moses shows us what to do in those moments: he chose to seek the presence of God.
He didn’t seek God only for his own benefit. Moses drew near to God so that he could intercede for the people.
Moses understood something powerful: before he could lead the people well, he needed to spend time in the presence of God. He made a space for God to come and meet with him.
This is a message of:
A. Repentance
B. Restoration
C. Renewal
D. Revival
The real danger for Christians is not sin; it is apathy.
Q. What are some things that can help us draw closer to God when we begin to feel spiritually distant?
Leader Prompt:
The following questions from the message are personal and may feel too private for some people to answer aloud. Let the group know they can reflect on them silently and are not required to share:
- Is there distance between you and God right now because of disobedience?
- What are you willing to do to fix that?
- What is your action plan to restore communion with the Lord?
Encourage the group to discuss practical ways to draw closer to God, such as prayer, repentance, worship, reading Scripture, removing distractions, or seeking accountability.
Devotion requires DESIRE and DISCIPLINE.
I WANT to know God.
I WORK to know God.
Moses’s life was shaped by devotion. He didn’t know the pillar of cloud was going to come and move to his tent.
God should intentionally be first in your life. When God knows you are serious, He moves to meet with you.
Everything you need from God is IN YOUR TENT.
Moses’s life was shaped by devotion. He didn’t know the pillar of cloud was going to come and move to his tent.
Moses stayed in the tent until god was finished talking with him.
God always has something to say to you.
Q. What helps you stay intentional about putting God first?
Leader Prompt:
Discuss how knowing God requires both desire and discipline. Encourage the group to share practical habits that help them spend time with Him.
Practical Application:
Choose a specific time and place—your “tent”—to meet with God each day this week through prayer and Scripture.
Fruits from building a tent to meet with God:
1. Holy pleasure
2. Peace
3. Promise
4. Preparation
Q. How has meeting with God changed what you desire, how you respond to difficulty, what you believe about His promises, or how prepared you feel for what He is calling you to do?
Leader Prompt:
Encourage the group to consider how time with God produces visible change in our hearts and lives. No one needs to answer every part of the question.
Moses stayed in the tent UNTIL GOD WAS FINISHED talking
with him.
LIFE CHANGE happens in the tent.
DIRECTION comes in the tent.
PURPOSE is found in the tent.
PEACE is absorbed in the tent.
WHERE IS YOUR TENT?
Q. What would it look like for you to remain in God’s presence long enough for Him to bring change, direction, purpose, or peace into your life?
Leader Prompt:
Discuss how we can sometimes rush our time with God. Encourage the group to consider what distractions or habits keep them from slowing down and listening for His direction.
Practical Application:
Choose a specific place to be your “tent” this week. Spend uninterrupted time there with God, and do not rush—pray, listen, and allow Him to finish speaking.
BUILD YOUR TENT.
Closing Prayer:
Lord, thank You for meeting with us. Help us create a consistent “tent”—a time and place where we can be alone with You. Give us the discipline to remain in Your presence, the patience to listen, and the courage to obey what You show us. May our time with You bring lasting change to our lives. In Jesus’ name, amen.
