SATURDAY MORNING PRAYER AND 6:00 AM WORSHIP ON PAUSE THROUGH THE SUMMER.
NOTE:
Two opportunities to pray:
Leaders only: Please be available at the end of services to pray for those who come forward. If you are not actively serving during the service you are attending, make it a priority to head to the front when the invitation is given. Your presence matters!
North Attleboro Leaders and members: If you or any member of your group who currently serves is available, there is an opportunity to meet for prayer in the conference room off the break room during the second and third services. Please see Doug and Joanie White or Felix Shyllon if you would like to be a part of that ministry.
Please note: if you have a member who is not currently serving and would like to be part of the prayer during the service team, please have them take the appropriate steps to become a serve team member.
NORTH ATTLEBORO
Prayer at the Altar – AFTER SERVICES
If possible, please make an effort to be at the altar after this service to pray for others.
Your presence makes a difference—thank you for serving!

LIFE GROUP LEADER MEETING RE-CAP VIDEO
Thank you to everyone who attended our Life Group Leader Meeting this past Monday. We heard a powerful message from Pastor Tim on Stewardship vs. Ownership.
If you were unable to attend—or if you’d like to watch it again—please take a few moments to view the message using the link below. I strongly encourage you to watch, as it highlights key principles for this ministry.
https://youtube.com/live/vtBj-LCldbI?feature=share
**Please read all scripture in the ESV, unless otherwise noted.**
**The Leader prompts help you, as the leader, move the conversation along.**
Key Verse: 1 Corinthians 2 Corinthians 4
Ice breaker question:
If you had to survive a zombie apocalypse using only the items currently in your purse, pockets, or car, what would be your most useful item?
Opening Prayer:
Lord, thank You for bringing us together today. Open our hearts and minds to Your truth. Help us to keep our minds focused on Your Spirit, grounded in Your Word, free from worldly distractions, and fixed on Jesus Christ. Give us wisdom, discernment, and hearts that are transformed by Your presence. Let our conversation encourage faith, growth, and deeper discipleship. In Jesus’ name, amen.
********************************************************
The book of Corinthians is a letter from the apostle Paul to the church in Corinth, which was wrestling with its faith.
1. Keep Your Mind on the SPIRIT’S MINISTRY.
2 Corinthians 4:1 ESV
2 Corinthians 3:12–13 ESV
The old covenant is a ministry that could not change hearts, but brought death and condemnation.
2 Corinthians 3:7–9 ESV
We, as Christians, have the ministry of the Spirit, which brings us to life.
2 Corinthians 3:16–18 ESV
The law INFORMS us, the Spirit TRANSFORMS us.
The problem with our minds is that they are downstream from our hearts. Whatever is going on in our hearts will flow up to our heads.
Matthew 15:19 ESV
Proverbs 4:23 ESV
Our problem is not what we are thinking, it is what we are believing.
When necessary, pray this prayer: Holy Spirit, help me.
Q. Where do you most need the Holy Spirit to transform your thinking instead of just informing you of what is right?
Leader Prompt: Help the group see that the Spirit does more than give us knowledge—He changes our hearts, renews our minds, and makes us more like Christ.
Practical Application: This week, identify one thought pattern, attitude, or worry you need to surrender to the Holy Spirit, and pray daily for Him to transform it.
2. Keep Your Mind on God’s PURE TRUTH.
2 Corinthians 4:2 ESV
More dangerous than unbelief is false belief.
The ENEMY wants to TWIST, DISTORT, and WATER DOWN
God’s Word.
Genesis 2:15–17 ESV
Genesis 3:1 ESV
2 Corinthians 11:3 ESV
Q. What are some subtle ways the enemy tries to distort or water down God’s truth in our culture or personal lives?
Leader Prompt: Encourage the group to recognize that deception often begins with small compromises or questioning what God has clearly said. God’s Word is our foundation and protection against confusion.
Practical Application: Spend time this week reading and meditating on one passage of Scripture each day, asking God to help you recognize and reject any lies or distortions that oppose His truth.
3. Keep Your Mind free from WORLDLY OPINIONS.
2 Corinthians 4:3–4 ESV
The UNBELIEVER is BLINDED.
If a person does not believe in Christ, then they cannot see.
Ephesians 4:18–20 ESV
TRUE Christianity is not POPULAR.
POPULAR Christianity is not TRUE.
God won’t bless lifestyles that are outside the bounds of His Word.
2 Corinthians 2:11 NLT
Q. In what areas do you feel the pressure to think like the world instead of standing on God’s truth?
Leader Prompt: Remind the group that spiritual blindness is real, and the enemy works to normalize ungodly thinking. Following Christ often places us at odds with cultural opinions, but God calls us to remain faithful and discerning.
Practical Application: Pay attention this week to the voices influencing your mind—social media, entertainment, conversations, or culture—and intentionally replace one unhealthy influence with time in God’s Word or Christ-centered encouragement.
4. Keep Your Mind FOCUSED on CHRIST.
If all else fails in your thoughts, just focus on Jesus.
2 Corinthians 4:5–6 ESV
Q. What distractions or competing focuses most often pull your attention away from Christ?
Leader Prompt: Encourage the group to remember that the Christian life is not centered on ourselves, success, or opinions—it is centered on Jesus. When our focus stays on Christ, He brings clarity, hope, and light into every area of life.
Practical Application: Set aside intentional time each day this week to focus on Jesus through prayer, worship, or Scripture, and ask Him to realign your thoughts and priorities around Him.
Sermon in a Sentence:
I need the Holy Spirit to TRANSFORM my heart, DEFEND my
mind, and keep my FOCUS on Christ.
Closing Prayer:
Father, thank You for reminding us that our minds belong to You. Help us to guard our hearts, reject deception, and stay rooted in Your truth. Fill us with Your Spirit so we can think, speak, and live in ways that honor Christ. Strengthen us this week to stay focused on Jesus even when the world pulls us in other directions. Let our lives reflect Your light and truth to those around us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
