SATURDAY MORNING PRAYER AND 6:00 AM WORSHIP ON PAUSE THROUGH THE SUMMER.

NOTE:

Two opportunities to pray:

Leaders only: Please be available at the end of services to pray for those who come forward. If you are not actively serving during the service you are attending, make it a priority to head to the front when the invitation is given. Your presence matters!

North Attleboro Leaders and members: If you or any member of your group who currently serves is available, there is an opportunity to meet for prayer in the conference room off the break room during the second and third services.  Please see Doug and Joanie White or Felix Shyllon if you would like to be a part of that ministry.

Please note: if you have a member who is not currently serving and would like to be part of the prayer during the service team, please have them take the appropriate steps to become a serve team member.

NORTH ATTLEBORO

Prayer at the Altar – AFTER SERVICES

If possible, please make an effort to be at the altar after this service to pray for others.

Your presence makes a difference—thank you for serving!

LIFE GROUP LEADER MEETING RE-CAP VIDEO

Thank you to everyone who attended our Life Group Leader Meeting this past Monday. We heard a powerful message from Pastor Tim on Stewardship vs. Ownership.

If you were unable to attend—or if you’d like to watch it again—please take a few moments to view the message using the link below. I strongly encourage you to watch, as it highlights key principles for this ministry.

https://youtube.com/live/vtBj-LCldbI?feature=share

**Please read all scripture in the ESV, unless otherwise noted.**

**The Leader prompts help you, as the leader, move the conversation along.**

Key Verse: 1 Corinthians 2

Ice breaker question: If you could read someone’s mind for one day, whose mind would you choose and why?

Opening Prayer:

Lord, thank You for bringing us together tonight. Open our hearts and minds to receive Your truth. Help us to think with the mind of Christ and not be shaped by the patterns of this world. Teach us to rely on Your Spirit for wisdom, understanding, and guidance in every area of life. In Jesus’ name, amen.

1 Corinthians 2:16 ESV

Everyone who believes in the Lord Jesus has heaven in their mind.  We can see this world through the lens of heavenly realities.

Salvation doesn’t just change my ETERNAL DESTINATION, it changes how I THINK about my PRESENT CONDITION.

God may not change your situation, but He changes how you see your situation.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 ESV

We must remember we are here for Christ, not here for ourselves.

Q. How does having “the mind of Christ” change the way you view difficult situations or seasons in your life?

Leader Prompt:

Encourage the group to focus on how salvation transforms not only eternity, but also daily thinking, perspective, and priorities.

Practical Application:

This week, when facing stress or discouragement, stop and ask God to help you see your situation through a heavenly perspective instead of only an earthly one.

  1. The believer’s mind is ANOINTED to receive Godly WISDOM.

By becoming a Christian, God changes how you receive information.

1 Corinthians  2:6 ESV

Maturity is recognizing you don’t know as much as you should.

1 Corinthians 8:2 ESV; 1 Corinthians 2:7-8 ESV

Culture gets many things right and many things wrong, but we do not go by culture—we go by what God has decreed.

You don’t grasp God’s wisdom until He reveals it to you.

Q. What makes it difficult at times to choose God’s wisdom over the opinions and thinking of culture?

Leader Prompt:

Help the group understand that spiritual maturity begins with humility and dependence on God’s revealed wisdom rather than on human understanding alone.

Practical Application:

This week, spend time in prayer and Scripture before making an important decision, asking God to shape your thinking according to His truth rather than the influence of culture.

2. The believer’s mind GOES DEEPER with the HOLY SPIRIT.

God has so much more for you to understand about your life.  It is a never-ending venture into God’s wisdom.

1 Corinthians 2:10 ESV

You have a glorious future sealed in Christ Jesus forever.

James 1:2 ESV

God is good and gracious beyond your understanding.

James 1:5 ESV

1 Corinthians 2:11-13 ESV

As a Christian, you have the privilege of knowing God’s thoughts about your situation.

The issues you have are not just NATURAL; they’re SPIRITUAL.

Q. How have you seen the Holy Spirit help you understand something spiritually that you could not fully understand naturally?

Leader Prompt:

Encourage the group to rely on the Holy Spirit for wisdom and understanding, recognizing that many battles are spiritual and require God’s perspective.

Practical Application:

This week, when facing a challenge, pray first and ask God, “What are You trying to show me through this situation?” before reacting emotionally or naturally.

3. The believer’s MIND is STRANGE to the WORLD.

1 Corinthians 2:14-15 ESV

The unsaved person thinks saved people are morons.  Don’t expect your unsaved friend to understand why you do what you do.

As believers, God has supernaturally changed our minds.

Q. How has following Christ changed the way you think, respond, or make decisions compared to the world around you?

Leader Prompt:

Encourage the group to embrace the fact that Spirit-led thinking will often look different from worldly values, priorities, and reactions.

Practical Application:

This week, pay attention to one situation where you are tempted to respond like the world, and intentionally choose a Christ-centered response instead.

Sermon in a sentence:

To be a believer is to THINK differently than the WORLD, GUIDED by the SPIRIT into WISDOM for life in every SITUATION.

Closing Prayer:

Lord, thank You for giving us the mind of Christ through salvation and the work of the Holy Spirit. Help us to reject worldly thinking and walk in Your wisdom daily. Teach us to recognize the spiritual battles behind our thoughts and to respond with faith, truth, and obedience to Your Word. Renew our minds, deepen our understanding, and help us live in a way that reflects You to the world around us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
