PLEASE CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATIONS AND OR YOUR PLANNING CENTER PROFILES FOR NEW MEMBER REQUESTS.
NOTE:
Two opportunities to pray:
Leaders only: Please be available at the end of services to pray for those who come forward. If you are not actively serving during the service you are attending, make it a priority to head to the front when the invitation is given. Your presence matters!
North Attleboro Leaders and members: If you are available, or any member of your group who currently serves is available, there is an opportunity to meet for prayer in the conference room off of the break room area during the second and third services. Please see Doug and Joanie White or Felix Shyllon if you would like to be a part of that ministry.
Please note: if you have a member who is not currently serving and would like to be part of the prayer during the service team, please have them take the appropriate steps to become a serve team member.
NORTH ATTLEBORO
Prayer at the Altar – AFTER SERVICES
If possible, please make an effort to be at the altar after this service to pray for others.
Your presence makes a difference—thank you for serving!

**Please read all scripture in the ESV, unless otherwise noted.**
KEY VERSE: Acts 28
Opening Prayer:
Lord, thank You for bringing us together. As we open Your Word, help us see what it truly means to finish strong in our faith. Align our hearts with Your purposes, strengthen us where we feel weary, and guide us by Your Spirit. We surrender this time to You. Amen.

Leader Insight Box
If weariness or frustration surfaces in people who feel they’ve been faithful but are tired, reassure them of their endurance and gently redirect their focus from how they feel now to where God is still leading them as they finish strong.
______________________________________________________________
Everyone can start something, but not everyone can finish it.
We are people of goals. The Church has a goal.
Acts 1:8 ESV
You are here to tell the world about Jesus. That is your big goal.
If you want to finish strong, you must have a goal in your life.
In order to finish strong:
1. I must have a GOAL.
Romans 1:9–10 ESV
Paul endeavored to get to Rome and was diligently committed to it. That was his goal.
1 Corinthians 9:27 ESV
Paul also had goals for spiritual development.
Philippians 3:14 ESV
Proverbs 6:6–11 ESV
Biblical GOAL setting:
- Seeks GODLY COUNSEL.
Ask people who love the Lord for counsel, but only 2 or 3 who can help you, in Christ, make decisions.
Proverbs 15:22 ESV
Proverbs 20:18 ESV
B. Embraces HARD WORK.
Things that are not worth it are easy.
Proverbs 21:5 ESV
C. Stays SURRENDERED to the LORD.
Proverbs 16:3 ESV
James 4:15 ESV
Q. Why is having a clear, God-honoring goal essential for finishing strong in your faith journey?
Leader Prompt:
If the discussion feels quiet, ask the group to think about the difference between having good intentions and having a clear, God-directed goal. You can also invite them to share how seeking godly counsel or surrendering plans to the Lord has helped—or challenged—their ability to stay focused and finish strong.
Practical Application:
Take time this week to prayerfully evaluate your spiritual goals and submit them to the Lord, asking for His direction and timing.
2. I must SERVE wherever I GO.
Have a servant mentality.
Acts 28:1-5 ESV
Learn to shake off setbacks.
Acts 28:7–9 ESV
If you learn the value of serving others, you will see others start to bless and empower your life.
Opportunity KNOCKS where we WAIT & SERVE.
Acts 28:9–10 ESV
Q. What opportunities to serve or different ways to serve, in or outside the Church, might God be placing in front of you right now?
Leader Prompt:
If necessary, remind them that serving often shows up while we’re waiting, not when everything feels convenient, and invite examples of unnoticed or behind-the-scenes acts of service.
Practical Application:
Look for one practical way this week to serve someone right where God has you—without waiting for perfect conditions.
3. I must be DEVOTED to God’s FAMILY.
Acts 28:12–15 ESV
Paul made it to Rome, and his family in the faith helped him get there.
Q. How does staying connected to God’s family help you stay encouraged and finish strong?
Leader Prompt:
If conversation slows, ask the group to reflect on a time when encouragement from another believer helped them keep going in their faith. You can also prompt them to consider what devotion looks like beyond attendance—such as praying for one another, checking in during the week, or walking through hard seasons together.
Practical Application:
Commit to intentionally strengthening your connection with your church or small group through encouragement, prayer, or presence.
4. I must PRESS ON in the face of OPPOSITION.
Acts 28:22–24 ESV
There will be people who love you and hate you. Learn how to move on through opposition.
A fight is not a fight until there is resistance.
Matthew 10:14 ESV
Q. What helps you keep moving forward when others resist or reject the message of the gospel?
Practical Application:
Ask God for perseverance and wisdom to respond faithfully when you face opposition, rather than becoming discouraged or distracted.
5. I must KEEP God’s KINGDOM first.
Acts 28:30–31 ESV
Matthew 6:33 ESV
Q. What does it look like in your daily life to truly keep God’s Kingdom first?
Practical Application:
Identify one area where priorities may be out of alignment and intentionally place God’s Kingdom first this week.
Finish Strong:
SET Godly GOALS.
SERVE where you ARE.
UNITE to God’s FAMILY.
MOVE past OPPOSITION.
PUT His Kingdom FIRST.
Takeaways:
What are 3 key takeaways you received from this message?
Closing Prayer:
Father, thank You for reminding us what it takes to finish strong. Help us set godly goals, serve faithfully, stay united in Your family, press on through opposition, and keep Your Kingdom first. Give us endurance, courage, and unwavering faith as we continue the race You’ve set before us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
