NOTE:
Two opportunities to pray:
Leaders only: Please be available at the end of services to pray for those who come forward. If you are not actively serving during the service you are attending, make it a priority to head to the front when the invitation is given. Your presence matters!
North Attleboro Leaders and members: If you are available, or any member of your group who currently serves is available, there is an opportunity to meet for prayer in the conference room off of the break room area during the second and third services. Please see Doug and Joanie White or Felix Shyllon if you would like to be a part of that ministry.
Please note: if you have a member who is not currently serving and would like to be part of the prayer during the service team, please have them take the appropriate steps to become a serve team member.
NORTH ATTLEBORO
Prayer at the Altar – AFTER SERVICES
If possible, please make an effort to be at the altar after this service to pray for others.
Your presence makes a difference—thank you for serving!

Key Verse: Genesis 39
Icebreaker Question
If someone described your influence using only one word, what do you hope that word would be—and why?
Opening Prayer
Father, thank You for the privilege of influencing others for Your glory. Open our hearts to Your Word today. Shape us into people whose lives point others toward Christ. Help us surrender fully, lead well, and honor You in everything. Amen.

The first person someone will trust is someone with godly qualities.
Genesis 39:5 NIV
Q. In what ways have you seen your personal choices—whether godly or ungodly—impact the trust, respect, or favor you receive from others?
Practical Application:
Identify one relationship this week that you want to strengthen to build trust. Choose one godly quality—integrity, patience, honesty, humility—and intentionally practice it so Christ is seen in how you live.
2. If I live my life SURRENDERED to the way and will of GOD, I set OTHERS up for SUCCESS.
Once you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, it is no longer about you.
Your godly living does not just benefit you; it influences the people around you.
Genesis 39:21-23 NIV
The prison warden saw that the Lord was with Joseph. He saw God in Joseph’s life through how he lived.
The story goes on: the cupbearer and baker of Pharaoh ended up in the same prison as Joseph, and he interprets their dreams. The dreams happened exactly the way Joseph interpreted them, and then Pharaoh had a dream that he asked Joseph to interpret.
Genesis 41:16 NIV
Joseph knew he could not do it, but He knew God could do it through him.
Q. In what ways have you seen your personal surrender to God—your obedience, attitude, or faithfulness—create opportunities or blessings for others, much like Joseph’s surrender positioned others for success?
Practical Application:
Choose one area of your life that needs deeper surrender to God (habit, schedule, attitude, relationship). This week, please submit that area to Him and look for one way your obedience can serve, bless, or uplift someone else.
3. I INFLUENCE people for Christ when I ACKNOWLEDGE that He is the SOURCE of everything good in my life.
Acknowledging that God is the source of everything good in our lives is part of influencing people for Christ.
Joseph could have become conceited and relied on his own success with the previous dream interpretations, but instead, he humbled himself before God.
Joseph stands firm in his belief in God even in the face of the enemy.
Genesis 41:17 NIV
Pharaoh is unintentionally agreeing with Joseph about God’s power.
Genesis 41:39-41 NIV
In this moment, Joseph was having a positive influence on Pharaoh.
The Lord’s involvement in your life should influence the people around you.
How can I influence the next generation?
A. Invest in them spiritually.
Proverbs 22:6 NIV
B. Invest in them financially.
Proverbs 13:22 NIV
C. Invest in them exemplarily.
Q. How does openly giving God the credit for the good in your life—your talents, successes, and blessings—impact the way others, especially the next generation, see your faith?
Practical Application:
Choose one blessing, opportunity, or success in your life and intentionally tell someone this week—especially someone younger—that it came from God, not from your own strength. Let your humility and gratitude become part of your influence.
4. POSITIVE INFLUENCE STARTS WITH MY FULL SUBMISSION TO CHRIST.
Live outwardly in a way that reflects the transformation God has done inside you.
1 Samuel 16:7 NIV
Deuteronomy 6:6–7 NIV
2 Corinthians 5:20 NIV
Wherever you go, you are representing Christ, Waters Church, and your Family.
1 Peter 3:15 NIV
Q. If positive influence begins with a fully submitted heart, what areas of your life still compete with Christ for control, and how might that impact the way others see Him through you?
Practical Application:
Choose one specific area—your words, attitude, schedule, habits, or relationships—and intentionally submit it to Christ this week. Let your outward behavior reflect the inward transformation He is working in you, knowing that you represent Christ, your church, and your family wherever you go.
Sermon in a Sentence:
By SURRENDERING my heart to Christ, living GODLY in all I
do, INVESTING financially, and leading by EXAMPLE, I leave a
lasting INFLUENCE on the next generation.
