You Can’t Spell Gospel without “Go”
Isaiah 6, Romans 10
Missions are in the absolute center of the heart of God. What’s going on in the world and what people are going through in today’s climate is a golden opportunity for the church to be the church.
Isaiah 6:1–8 (ESV)
Pastor Tim told the story of the purchase of the building. God reserved our church building for us. The church building was originally used to make jewelry. Raw materials came into this church building, they got purified and made perfect and got shipped around the world. God’s picture for this church are the true jewels, which are the people who come into this building. They are purified and made perfect and will go out around the world.
Invest in the mission of Jesus and go with the gospel. God doesn’t shake, cleanse and change us just to have us sit on our couches, but to send us.
The closer we get to the Lord the more passionate we are to tell people about Him.
Romans 9:1–3 (ESV); Romans 10:1 (ESV)
How much TIME have we SPENT this week PRAYING for our NATION/NEIGHBOR to COME to Christ?
Q: Who are you praying for and desiring to be saved in your life? (neighbors, co-workers, nation etc) How are you developing habits to make this a part of our prayer life?
Romans 10:14–17 (ESV)
- You can’t GO if you don’t KNOW.
Repent, believe and surrender your heart to God.
- You wouldn’t KNOW if someone didn’t first GO.
Understand that SOMEONE brought YOU the gospel. You’re not a reservoir, you’re a river. Let the gospel flow through you.
- If you KNOW, are you WILLING to GO?
You are as valuable as where you are placed.
Q: 3 Part Question:
- Have you repented, and surrendered your life to God? If not, what’s holding you back? (for non-believers in your group)
- Who is the someone that brought YOU the gospel? Encourage each other with some testimonies.
- Think about where you are placed in life and share about the value of where you are placed?

Calros Vargas
Hope of Life
Carlos was a successful businessman who made a lot of money. He said God served him but he did not serve God the way he should. He became very ill and moved back to Guatemala to die in the home where he was born/grew up. One day God sent a blind man to his room to beg for money. God put him through a grinder, and he challenged him. He made a business deal with God, ‘get me out of this bed and I will dedicate my life to the poor.’ It was a business deal before it became his passion. Formed Hope of Life and to this day they’ve rescued 35,000 children! Praise God.
Jeff Mocarsky
Let Love International
Called to help children in Peru and Guatemala to educate and provide health care. Started this before he was saved, and through missions trips through Hope of Life and going to Waters Church became saved. Based the mission of Let Love International on the Great Commission of the gospel. Currently have helped 1300 children.
Sean Carew
Providence Rescue Mission
Sean was a successful man in the world’s eyes, but he was on the verge of suicide, and an atheist. He came to know and serve Christ. Providence Rescue Mission was started in 1999 to help the homeless, drug addicts, etc. What separates them from other organizations is that they are gospel focused, nothing is more important than someone coming to Christ.
Dan Carpenter
He is a testimony of the Providence Rescue Mission. He met Sean when he was at death’s doorstep. He sat at Sean’s dining room table and was willing to try anything, Sean took him through the gospel, and he accepted Christ. He currently serves, then participated in a small group, and now a small group leader. From drugs and death to leading people to Jesus. AMEN!
What amazing testimonies to encourage the body of believers! This is faith in action!
Pastor Tim asked the missionaries:
“If people saw what I see on the mission field they would ______
- understand what God wants them to do (get out of your comfort zone)
- understand there is an awesome harvest to reap
- understand God is still doing miracles, God brings people back to life
Q: Seeing how our tithes are being used is so incredibly encouraging and challenging. How can you stretch your financial giving?
Q: How can you step out of your comfort zone and be a part of the mission of telling others about the gospel?
Q: What areas can you begin to serve in the church, your workplace, your community?
Brainstorm some ways for your small group to put their faith into action.
The world is dark but the gospel is shining brighter than ever before.
Faith without action is dead. Go Into action.
