Key Verse: Philippians 3

We will be going forward with the Legacy offering for:
Infrastructure, Florida, and Fall River
Service opened with. media showing what is happening around the world in 2020.
Q. What were your thoughts during this opener?
Pastor Tim told us of this attraction:
“New Titanic Tourist Attraction Will Allow Visitors to ‘Experience’ it’s Sinking.”
Q. Would you want to take part in this? Why or why not?
This is example of how some Christians live, reliving tragedies of the past.  Reliving the worst moments of what happened yesterday and making it a ’tourist attraction’ in the mind.
Q. What tragedy have you made a tourist destination in your mind (this could be something small or big)?
2020 Has given us every reason to get stuck and believe this is never going to change.  We should not let the lock down season become our way of life.  God opened prison doors for Paul, He open the lions den for Daniel and brought 6000 Jewish people to the Promised Land and sent His Son to die for us
How do I PRESS ON when so much has GONE WRONG?
1. I PRESS on when I REMEMBER God has a CALL on my LIFE.

Philippians 3:12-14 (ESV)
Paul the apostle pressed on.  He was in prison when he wrote Philippians.  Paul pressed on because God called him to a purpose. Instead of moaning and giving up, he did not let people stop him from doing what God wanted him to do.   To be a Christian is to be called.  We are not promised a bed of roses when we become Christians, the god of this world is against us but we have a call on our lives.  God chose us we did not choose him.
Q. What kind of opposition do you face in your struggle to live as a Christian?
Philippians 3:2-7 ESV)
We are not saved by what we do we are saved by what Christ did.  There is a huge difference from being religious and being saved by Jesus.
How do you know you are a Christian?
Jesus is number one in your life.
You are willing to serve and give for the cause.
You want people to know you are a Christian.
The Nehemiah Principle:
Nehemiah 6:1–3 (ESV)
Q. What experience can you share of someone wasting your time keeping you from serving God (Social Media fights, conversations that lead to no where, etc.)?
2. I PRESS on when I FORGET what is BEHIND.
Philippians 3:13 (ESV); Mark 10:21 (ESV); Luke 10:42 (ESV); Psalm 27:4 (ESV)

Philippians 1:12-14 (NLT)
Jesus has us where we are for His purposes.

Philippians 3:8 (ESV)
The most important thing in life is God and everything else is rubbish.
everything else is rubbish.  In Greek, this is Skubala which means excrement.  Skubala happened, then Jesus.
Since Paul was in prison, he had to put down the pulpit and pick up the parchment to write Philippians rather than preach it.
Q. What do you consider rubbish in your life and what do need to put down in order to pick up what God has for you to serve his purpose in your life?
Christ’s CALL on my life is EFFECTIVE in spite of my CIRCUMSTANCES.
3. I PRESS on when I Don’t FORGET to FORGET the PAST.
Philippians 3:13 (ESV)
it’s never-ending.  We must not forget to forget.  We are not to let our past stop us from serving God.  We must know he has forgiven us and we need to forgive ourselves and move on.
Isaiah 43:18–19 (ESV)
Q. How can you stop making that tragedy in your past a tourist attraction in your mind?
NEVER FORGET:
God has CALLED you,
    God has FORGIVEN you,
God is USING YOU for His GLORY RIGHT NOW.
