The Church is here to expose to us what Jesus is doing right now around the world.
This was a turning point for the disciples. They were in awe watching Jesus perform these miracles. They were amazed at what He was doing. He healed every disease and sickness. They watched and stared in jaw-dropping amazement.
Jesus had compassion on the people because he saw that they were weary and He knew they needed a shepherd. Jesus saw the incredible need in people’s lives. Jesus then told His disciples there were not enough workers. and to pray for workers to be sent out (thrust out).
We are the laborers. Will this prayer for us come true through you?
Here are some discussion questions you can talk about with your group:
Olive’s Story: (If you need a refresher or if someone in your group missed the story, you can review it in the above video).
- What did you find to be the most compelling part of Olive’s testimony?
- Olive shared the very first line of the first letter her sponsor wrote to her: ‘We will do everything in our power to release you from poverty in Jesus name.’ How did this prove to be a powerful statement in her life?
- If you have sponsored a child in the past, what are some of the things you write about?
- Have you ever had the opportunity to meet your sponsored child and what was it like?
The Compassion Experience: (If you have not walked through the Experience trailer yet, there is still an opportunity. The trailer is here until Monday, June 3 from 11-5:40. You can take the tour even if you have not registered).
- If you had the chance to walk through the ‘Experience’, which child did you choose: Kiwi, Jey or both?
- What is the one thing that stuck out in your mind as you walked through their stories?
- If you served at the Experience trailer, was it impactful to you and to the people walking through?
